GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Coaching changes are never easy, but for CMU cycling a fresh face leading the program was necessary.

Former head coach Rick Crawford was dismissed last year amid doping allegations, and cyclist Patric Rostel has held the mantle of "Interim Head Coach" ever since.

Well "Interim" no more.

Rostel was named full-time head coach this week, a move that pleased both management and cyclists alike.

The team is currently in 1st place in Division II, and are preparing for the Maverick Classic: a series of races in late April that will act as the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference's championship.
