GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Mavericks fell 4-1 in the first game of the doubleheader, but they took the nail-biting win the second time around.

Mesa jumped to a 3-0 lead after a Jessica Severinsen home run and an RBI single from Lisa Pille. They then added another run with the help of Megan Smith's sacrifice RBI in the third.

Then the Mountain Lions came rallying back into it in the fifth and sixth innings to eventually take a 5-4 lead. Luckily with two outs on the board, Severinsen put up a walk-off home run for the 7-5 victory.
