GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the 2013 All-RMAC volleyball selections. The awards are selected by the 14 head volleyball coaches in the league, but coaches are unable to vote for their own players.

Each of the top four seeds had three players selected to fill out the list of 21 honorees, and CMU's Sunni Rae Baird received an even bigger recognition.

Colorado Mesa's lone senior was named Defensive Player of the Year. The libero notched 560 digs and is tied for second on the team with 93 assists this season. She was also named to the All-RMAC second team.

Junior middle hitter Melissa Hess was named to the first team after accumulating 86 blocks and 328 kills. She reached a career-high 26 kills in one match against South Dakota Mines.

Sophomore Abby Ney was named to the third team with 259 kills and 84 blocks.

Colorado Mesa hosts round one of the RMAC tournament Tuesday night at 7:00 PM.
