GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Mesa Mavs football team faced a big day as they went into a game against Northern Colorado on Altitude Sports.

However, CMU could not pull ahead or get a break at any point in the game. They registered a single field goal early in the first half, and even trailed the Bears 10-3 in the 2nd quarter. But UNC blew the game open in no time, defeating the Mavericks 40-3.

Colorado Mesa opens RMAC play at 1 PM on September 15th at Stocker Stadium against Chadron State.
