GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Mavericks football team hosts Western State this Saturday as their final home game of the 2012 regular season.

Colorado Mesa is fresh off a 48-10 loss to No. 1 CSU-Pueblo, but they are facing the worst offense in the RMAC this week. The Mountaineers are averaging under ten points per game in conference play this season.

Ten members of the Mavs roster hope that a win on Saturday comes as easily as expected by the stats. Those ten are the seniors who will be celebrating their final home game at Stocker.

"Just to know this is the final time I'll be playing at Stocker [Stadium] is a special feeling," said senior, offensive lineman Trevor Stapp.

"It really hasn't sank in much," commented senior, defensive end Dom Lewis.

"It probably will [sink in] the last game of the season, but it's crazy that I'm playing my last game at Stocker [Stadium]," Lewis said.
