CMU LAX: Prestigious award received via mail
A.J. Stevens had to find out that his Mavericks squad won a prestigious award through the mail. After opening up a package, he saw a plaque with the words: "2011 James 'Ace' Adams Sportsmanship Award."

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- A.J. Stevens had to find out that his Mavericks squad won a prestigious award through the mail. After opening up a package, he saw a plaque with the words: "2011 James 'Ace' Adams Sportsmanship Award."

The award is given to the team that best exhibits good sportsmanship on the field. The award is voted on by officials, and it made Stevens very happy to know that his team's hard work and respectful play had paid off.
