GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- It was a must win numerically, but in the minds of the Mavericks, this one really mattered. Both the men and women came away with dominant victories to keep their RMAC Tournament hopes a live.
The men (12-10, 10-8) beat New Mexico Highlands 78-60 behind a breakout performance by Jeff Hart. Double-zero had a game-high 25 points. The men jumped out to a 23-4 lead and a 45-24 lead into the half.
The women () won 65-47 behind Kelsey Sigl's 20 points. The women used a 39-25 second half to pull away and get the 18-point win. This was the first time both Sigl and Katrina Selsor were on the same Brownson Arena court since their injury issues dating back to early January.
