GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- CMU's men's basketball is red hot in scoring RMAC honors.
Senior forward Colton Burgon was named the conference's defensive player of the week on Monday.
Burgon scored 37 points in two wins for the Mavs during their home-opening weekend. It was his 15 rebounds and five blocks that helped Burgon earn the RMAC award.
"It should be a team award," Burgon said prior to practice on Monday.
"More importantly, we got two wins this [past] weekend."
Mavs' guard Mike Melillo was named the RMAC's offensive player of the week after CMU's season-opening weekend.
