GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Lady Mavericks basketball team now knows who their new coach will be.

His name is Taylor Wagner and he comes from Otero Junior College in La Junta, CO. Wagner has spent the past eight seasons as the head coach of the Lady Rattlers at Otero.

Over those eight years, he's posted a 187-63 record, including a 33-3 campaign this past winter when the Rattlers won the District 9 title.

After finishing the season eighth in the nation, Wagner was named the National District Coach of the Year for 2011-12.

Under Wagner's leadership, the Rattlers were 88-12 at home.
