GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The reports didn't lie. David Dahl can swing the bat.

Dahl scatter homer-run balls all over the parking lot just beyond the right field in his first b.p. session at Suplizio Field.

Even the veteran players on the Rockies rookie-league affiliate team had to show some appreciation for the youngster's power. And according to him, that's one of the reasons why he was happy to be Colorado's first pick.

"I liked hitting in Denver, first off. And all the guys that work up there are very team oriented, and they want me to be a leader on and off the field," Dahl said.
