GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- David Dahl's MVP trophy from the Pioneer League is now his second favorite award.
On Friday, Dahl, the Colorado Rockies first round pick in the 2012 MLB Draft, was named Baseball America Magazine's Player of the Year for all rookie leagues in the MLB.
Dahl led the Grand Junction Rockies with a .379 average, and he tied for first in RBI with 57 in 67 games.
However, he wasn't the only GJ Rockie to make the cut. Starting pitcher Eddie Butler was named to the national All-Star team. Butler was 7-1 in 12 starts for the Rockies. He was second on the team in ERA with 2.13.
