GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Orem Owlz (LAA) went through five Rockies' pitchers on Wednesday night for their second straight win by a 7-4 score.

Shawn Stuart started the game for the first time this season. By the looks of the first two innings, it was going to be an easy start for Stuart.

Then in the third, Adrian Gutierrez and Joel Capote went back-to-back with homers to give the Owlz their first lead of the night. Gutierrez smacked a two-run homer well beyond the wall in left field. Then Capote fought off a 3-2 fastball over the wall in right field to give the Owlz a 3-2 advantage.

Despite Julian Yan and Ben Waldrip repeating the back-to-back fashion in the seventh, Orem added another in the eighth to seal a 3-run victory.

The Grand Junction Rockies are 21-21 on the season, and they are the only team in the South Division that has yet to win a contest in the second half.

Orem and Grand Junction wrap-up their series on Thursday night at 7:05pm.
