DELTA, Colo. (KKCO) - The Panthers put up a big upset against The Classical Academy last week, but they couldn't work the same magic at their home field.
The fifth seeded Pueblo East Eagles scored early and scored often. They held Delta to a field goal in the first quarter, and led 28-10 before the half.
The Panther's defense came out strong in the second half, holding Pueblo to a single score, but by that point, their offense could not catch up.
Pueblo East defeats Delta 35-24. The Panthers are now eliminated from the playoffs.
