Fifteen students sign National Letters of Intent

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Fifteen high school seniors from Grand Junction High School and Fruita Monument High School signed their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday.

At Grand Junction, it was all about the boys. Basketball's Broderick Robinson along with baseball's Dillon Fante, Kaleb Johnson, Tristan Lafferty, and Neil Ryan all put their athletic future in writing.

Robinson finished out his senior year in basketball going 10-0 in the SWL and earning an invite to two Colorado All-Star games.

As for some of baseball's finest, the four guys are still working through their season, hitting their peak and making a run for that top league slot, but it's what's to come that all five players are anticipating the most.

At Fruita Monument, ten athletes signed on the dotted line - the biggest group the school has had to date. They'll be moving on to play different sports ranging from volleyball to baseball to football to soccer and even to cross country, and a lot of these kids are going off on a high note.

The volleyball team finished ninth in state. The soccer team ended their regular season as the SWL champs without a loss to their name. And now the baseball squad is leading the way in league play with just a couple games to go.

All in all, the success of every single athlete is evident as they earn the chance to play at a higher level.
