Then, Douglas County's Trey Smith broke a short-screen pass into a 63-yard touchdown that would ultimately win the game for the visiting Huskies.
It was a heartbreaking 20-14 loss for the Wildcats, who had driven down the field and had taken the lead with under two minutes to play. However, it was Douglas County celebrating a win on Stocker Stadium on Thursday.
The 'Cats are now 1-1 on the season, and they will travel to the front range for their contest at Heritage.
