Fruita Monument's Sean Mulvey named Coach of the Week

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Sean Mulvey will remember Friday's win over Grand Junction very fondly.

Not only the was 20-14 victory his first against the Tigers as the Wildcats head coach, but Mulvey earned statewide recognition as well.

The Wildcats head coach is the Denver Broncos High School Coach of the Week for week five of prep football in the state of Colorado.

Along with the honor, Fruita Monument's football program will receive a $1,000 donation from the NFL Youth Fund.

Mulvey is also in the running for the Coach of the Year award, which will be announced in December at the Broncos vs. Chiefs game at Sports Authority Field. If he wins that award, Fruita will receive another $2,000 donation.
