GJ Rockies: First group of players arrive

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Pioneer League baseball is in the air. On Wednesday, twelve guys from the 2013 Grand Junction Rockies flew in from extended training in Arizona to begin their three-month journey through the season.

A few familiar names include outfielder Ryan Garvey, first baseman Correlle Prime, and pitcher Zach Jemiola, while former manager Tony Diaz is the new development supervisor.

The players have been working hard the past few months, playing in nearly 40 games during the off-season to get prepped for opening day. Now that they've made it to Grand Junction, they're ready to get the ball rolling.
