GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- It's never been done before, but the Grand Junction Rockies (COL) are in a position to make the Pioneer League playoffs this year.

The Rockies beat up on the Billings Mustangs (CIN) on Monday night, 12-4, while the Ogden Raptors (LAD) continued to falter. The Raptors lost to Helena to create a tie for first in the South Division between the Rockies and Raptors.

Both teams are 18-16 on the year and only four games remain in the first half of the season. As of right now, the Raptors hold the tie-breaker because they are undefeated in eight meetings against Grand Junction this season.
