GJ Rockies claim first win against the Ogden Raptors this season

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - If you were in attendance at the Rockies - Ogden game, then you were not disappointed. The GJ Rockies came out on fire and kept it throughout the entire game.

Eddie Butler led the team from the mound, grabbing two straight strikeouts in the first inning to set the flow.

A line drive double from Jeff Popick to center field scored Matt Wessinger and Steven Graeter early, and they did not back down.

The sixth inning offered the fans a three-run homer from Julian Yan, followed by a Wilfredo Rodriguez homer on a fly to right field. These hits brought the Rockies up 11-0.

All that Ogden could do was three runs in the eighth, but it definitely was not enough. GJ Rockies win 11-3 and move to 2-4 for the second half of season play.
