GJ Rockies defeat Idaho Falls Chukars but can't catch the playoff ticket

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - GJ Rockies snag a 11-5 win over the Idaho Falls Chukars, keeping the tie for first place with the Ogden Raptors in the South Division at the end of the first half of season play.

The rule is that a playoff berth will be rewarded to the top two teams in each division by the half, but because the Raptors hold the tiebreaker in the south, they get the automatic playoff submission.

Even though it was a disappointment to the Rockies, they still have a chance to prove themselves as playoff contenders. The season is only half-way through, and there is a whole lot more ball to be played.
