GJ Rockies fall short in ten innings

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Idaho Falls Chukars may have taken the GJ Rockies by surprise in the third game of the series.

Pitching seemed to be one of the bigger struggles for the Rockies. They walked nine batters, including leadoff walks in four straight innings, and only struck out seven.

Even though Grand Junction led the ballgame through the seventh, a tying run by the Chukars drew them out to ten innings where they fell one run short.

Highlights include David Dahl's extension of his hitting streak to 11 games, while Max White was able to score two runs from the lead off spot.

The two teams meet in their final game of the series tomorrow night at 7:15 PM.
