GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Grand Junction Rockies didn't want to spoil all the fun of a late-season playoff push.

That's why they started out the second half of the season in such a bad slump, only to rip off nine wins in their last eleven tries.

The Rockies' lineup combined for seven runs in the final two innings on Thursday to beat the Helena Brewers 12-6.

With the win and a loss by Orem on Thursday, the Rockies are now tied for the division lead at 13-11 in the second half.
