GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Colorado Rockies right-handed pitcher Roy Oswalt made his first rehab start with the Grand Junction Rockies opposite the Ogden Raptors.
Oswalt, back from a left hamstring injury suffered in July, was allowed 55 pitches. He set a goal of going deep, and he did just that. He pitched through 5.2 innings and finished the night with two strikeouts while allowing no runs off three hits.
The GJ Rockies held their own end of the bargain on defense. They committed no errors and didn't let a run slip through until the eighth. On offense, the Rockies were first to score and then held the last word when Ryan Garvey dished out a home run.
Grand Junction went on to take the win 3-1, taking the series win. The teams wrap up the series Wednesday night at 7:05 PM.
