GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Rockies entered Monday night's game with the Chukars a game ahead of the Pioneer League field, and looking to take three of four from their rivals.

Carlos Polanco got the start, holding a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA after his one appearance at Ogden, but wasn't in Monday's contest. He makes it just three and a third innings, giving up seven hits and two earned runs while walking five batters.

As far as the bats, the Rox had trouble figuring out Eric Skoglund and Zach Lavvorn, as they combine to throw seven innings, giving up just six hits and two runs while striking out nine batters.

The Idaho Falls Chukars would walk away with the 10-2 win, splitting the series.

Grand Junction hosts Ogden starting Tuesday for a two-game set.
