GJ rockies fall in high scoring game against Ogden Raptors

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Grand Junction Rockies were hoping to notch their third win against the Ogden Raptors this season, but they came up just short in the ninth inning.

The Rockies came out strong with 3 runs in the first, but Ogden bit right back and put up 2.

The teams fought back and forth, but the fifth inning was another strong one for GJ. It included a homerun by Jeff Popick and Wilfredo Rodrigues, both helping contribute to four runs.

But that wouldn't be enough to carry them through the bottom of the ninth. The score was 12-11, and the Raptors pulled it out by adding 2 more runs to win it 13-12.
