GJ wins in extras over Orem, cushion their spot in 2nd

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Grand Junction Rockies (COL) needed extra innings to earn a win over Orem on Thursday.

The Rockies scored two runs in the top of the eleventh, and then Patrick Johnson held the lead in tact during the bottom half of the inning.

The win improves Grand Junction's second-half record to 18-13, 2.0 games better than Orem and 1.0 game behind the division-leading Ogden Raptors.

There are just seven games left in the regular season.
