GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- After beating the Orem Owlz (LAA) 3-out-of-4 games in June, the tables have turned against the Grand Junction Rockies (COL).
Grand Junction lost their second straight game to Orem on Monday, 5-3.
Orem benefited from a spectacular starting performance from Mark Sappington who didn't allow a Rockie past first base in his three innings-pitched.
Matthew Carasiti matched him by only allowing four hits through five innings, but Jordan Mejia lost control in the sixth inning for the Rockies.
Mejia surrendered two hits, three runs and two walks in just one-third innings.
The Rockies finish the road-trip 1-4 and drop to 6-9 on the season.
They return to Suplizio Field for a seven-game homestand on Tuesday.
