GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Matthew Carasiti stifled the Missoula Osprey (ARI) again on Thursday night as the Grand Junction Rockies (COL) won 3-1.

Carasiti went a full seven innings, allowing no runs and just three hits. He earned his second victory of the season in as many outings. Carasiti earned his first winning decision against Missoula on July 13th.

Ben Waldrip and Jeff Popick kept the Rockies engine turning on the offensive side. Popick hit an RBI-single in the first inning, scoring David Dahl, making it eight straight games with a hit for the CMU grad.

In the second inning, Waldrip smacked a solo-homer over the wall in right for his 6th of the year.

The Rockies are 15-15 on the season and just two games behind the Ogden Raptors for first place in the South Division. There are nine games left in the first half of the season.
