GJ Rockies need their fans as much as fans need team

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Marv Foley has spent some time in the Rockies' farm system, as a roaming catching coordinator throughout the minor leagues and also as the manager of the AA-affiliate, the Tulsa Drillers.

With that kind of experience on his resume, Foley can certainly pick out a talented player. However, the savvy scout can also attest to the importance that a supportive fan base has on a minor league team.

"It's always good to come to the park knowing that you're going to have fans come out and cheer for you," Foley said. "[Players] don't like to come to the park and play in front of only 100-150 people. They like for people to come out and enjoy watching them play."

Then they better reduce the prices or make some cheaper days...people are struggling and some thing like that is a treat and won't come if its too expensive. Prices for kids should be cheaper too!
