GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Gladiators have won the ADFL Championship in each of the last two seasons, and after a first-round bye, a win over the Golden Miners in the Pikes Peak Divisional Championship game would send them back to try for a third.

Grand Junction trailed 10-0 with about a minute left in the half before the defense notched a pick-six, cutting the lead to 10-6.

They continued to trail for the majority of the game until a late score put them up 20-17.

With under a minute to go in the game on 4th-and-1 for the Miners, the quarterback sneak was stuffed by a stout defensive line, and they turned it over.

The Gladiators were able to take a knee and run out the clock, and a championship game berth.

Final score: Grand Juction 20, Golden 17.
