Grand Junction Rockies come to town

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Grand Junction Rockies have arrived, and they are ready to start their season. Mini-camp will begin on June 11th to help them prepare for their 76 games.

Tony Diaz will be the manager for the innaugural season on the Western Slope. This will make it his sixth year with the team formerly known as the Casper Ghosts.

You can meet the Rockies at the Ale House "Meet and Greet" event Wednesday, June 13th at 6:30 PM. They will also be opening up an exhibition game vs. the Greely Greys on June 14th at 6:00 PM.

Opening day for the Rockies in the 2012 Pioneer League season is scheduled for June 18th at Ogden.

The home-opener at Suplizio Field is June 23rd at 7:05 PM. Gates open at 5:35.
