PALISADE, Colo. 4A Western Slope League play began on Saturday for Palisade and Summit as they met for a doubleheader. With Cameron Campbell and Devan Lucero on the mound in game one, the Bulldogs shut out the Tigers 5-0.
In the back half of the doubleheader, Palisade got offense from a handful of guys, including Zane Abeyta, Aaron Salazar, and Andrew Bowles, who each and three RBI's, and Kurtis Grady who had four RBI's. An eight-run seventh inning help the Bulldogs to another win 18-7.
Palisade improves to 4-3 on the year and is 2-0 in WSL play. They will next play Delta after spring break.
