RIFLE, Colo. The Rifle Bears were beat by Palisade 54-41 a month ago on the road, and were determined to get even with the Bulldogs Tuesday night.
They jumped out to the lead right away via the interior game, going to their 6'6" center Tanner quick early and often. Once they got the lead, they didn't lose it.
Palisade drew within five points in the fourth quarter, but the Bears hung on and came away with a nine point win, 62-53.
The Bears improve to 5-2, while the Bulldogs drop to 6-4 on the season.
