GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Fruita Monument and Glenwood Springs met at Walker Field in Grand Junction Monday night- each team trying to turn things around a bit.
The Wildcats were on a four-game losing streak which has dropped them down to 8th in the Mountain League standings, while Glenwood Springs was trying to stop a season-long losing streak, as they were 0-10 entering this game.
The game started fast in favor of Fruita, as they held a 6-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. They were able to rotate their lineups and pile it on to end that losing streak and win the league match 17-4.
FMHS improves to 4-8 overall while Glenwood Springs falls to 0-11.
