HS Boys Basketball: Grand Junction downs Legend in "best game of the season"

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. It was the final game of the non-conference schedule for the Grand

Junction Tigers Saturday afternoon on the basketball court, and it would turn out to be a good one against a very tough team from Legend High School.

The game was close close for most of the way until Legend cut Grand Junction's lead down to just two late in the second half.

But the Tigers responded nicely and hold on for the 62-54 win, moving to 9-2 on the year.

"I can see us getting better each week and today was the best we've played all season long," said GJHS head coach Dutch Johnson. "That was a good team we just beat. Offensively our patience, our ball movement, our shot selection, and way they're playing together is better than it's been all year."
