The Grand Junction Tigers hit the road for their first game of the season to take on the Prairie View Thunderhawks to start off zero week.
The teams stayed neck and neck through the first half, but Grand Junction held the upper hand to close out the half with a 31-28 lead.
When they started the third, the Tigers got down to business. Theron Verna went the long haul for a 73 yard touchdown. Austin Lewis brought in the two-point conversion to lead 39-28.
They'd carry the momentum through the end to take their first win of the season 61-42.
