MONTROSE, Colo. (KKCO) - Through rain and sunshine, (10) Montrose and (23) Palisade faced off for the first round game of the 2013 playoffs.
The Indians jumped off to a quick start with a goal in the first ten minutes and then added another before the end of the first half. The girls used that momentum to add two more and carry them through the end.
Meanwhile, Palisade struggled to find their usual rhythm. After falling behind 2-0, the Bulldogs started to fall back in the second half and were unable to find net.
Montrose took the game 4-0 and will move on to Friday's second round against Mullen.
