GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) The Fruita Monument Wildcats stay atop the SWL leaderboards with a win over the Grand Junction Tigers Tuesday night.

The Wildcats jumped to a lead early in the game after Wesley Padgett put a soft touch on the ball to slide it past Michael Hansen. Though he let one slide, he was all over defending his net.

Fruita took 22 shots on goal, while Grand Junction was held to just one in the second half. That one tied up the game, but Fruita's offensive momentum proved crucial as they added two more for the 3-1 win.

Wesley Padgett finished as the teams leader with a hat trick, serving all three goals.
