GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Palisade Bulldogs and Delta Panthers opened up conference play at Walker Field on Thursday night. Though the Panthers had three games under their belt and the Bulldogs had none, the Bulldogs looked strong.

Damick Kinson was first to get a goal on the board. He received a pass out in front and curved it to find net. When Delta tried to score, they'd come up empty in the first half.

Meanwhile, Palisade continued to roll. With just a few minutes left in the half Marques Combes nailed one to the far side, giving his team a 2-0 jump.

In the end Palisade was able to open their season with the 3-1 win.
