HS Volleyball: Fruita Monument takes season series over Grand Junction

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) The Fruita Monument Wildcats remain the team to beat after defeating Grand Junction in three straight sets to remain undefeated, improving to 6-0 in the SWL.

The Wildcats took the first two sets, dominating at the net in the second. By the third, the Tigers started strong and stayed consistent. Each time Fruita tied up the game, Grand Junction would pull ahead until they reached 21. A huge hit from Jordan Eatwell gave 'cats the lead, and they took it through 25.

Fruita was led by Jordan Eatwell who finished with 12 digs, 5 serving points, and 13 kills. Libero Joelle LeFevre finished the night with 19 digs and 10 serving points.

The Lady Wildcats hold on to the first place position in the SWL. Montrose sits just one game back at 5-1. These two will face off next Tuesday night.
