GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - In late March the All-Colorado wrestling team was announced, and to the surprise of many, Grand Junction standout Jacob Trujillo did not make the cut.
Fast forward to last weekend when Trujillo competed at the National High School Coaches Association Sophomore Nationals in Virginia Beach.
With 63 wrestlers in his bracket, including eight state champs and ten state finalists, Trujillo battled his way to a second place finish to earn him the status of All-American.
