GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The RMAC Shootout all boilded down to Saturday's championship round. Two teams were left - the Colorado Mesa Mavs and teh Colorado Christian Cougars.
After a rough start where the Cougars took an 18-9 lead with nine minutes to go, the Lady Mavs found their groove and picked up the momentum to tie it at 27 before the half.
In the second half, they pulled ahead and stayed in rhythm to take their first RMAC Shootout victory since 2002. They will now have a guaranteed spot in the 2013 NCAA Division II playoffs.
