GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Grand Junction girls basketball team is more than happy to play a first round playoff game on Tuesday.

Head coach of the Lady Tiger, Sam Provenza, says he wants to get back on the horse as soon as he can. He's referring to a loss to Fruita Monument in the season finale last week.

Grand Junction, a fifth seed, hosts 12th-seeded Mountain Range on Tuesday night at 5:30 pm in the first round of the 5A playoffs.

The SWL Champions, Fruita Monument, won't play until Friday because they received a first-round bye.

In Class 4A, the Montrose and Delta girls have first round byes, but the Palisade Lady Bulldogs travel to Denver South on Tuesday to play at 7 pm.
