GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Lady Mavericks claimed their first RMAC regular season title with a win over Western State on Saturday.

It's the team's first conference title since the 2001-2002 season.

Sharaya Selsor who's been with the team for two seasons (2010-2011, present) says this title has been a long time coming.

"We had all the talent to do it [in 2011]," Sharaya says, "we just didn't quite have the maturity yet. We didn't quite have the experience."

CMU will be the top seed in the RMAC Shootout which starts next week.

The Mavs also held onto the No. 4 ranking in the national polls on Tuesday, this is their third consecutive week at No. 4.
