GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Ben Waldrip picked up right where he left off on Tuesday night as Alving Mejias kept the Owlz bats quiet in the Rockies 7-2 victory on the 4th of July.
Mejias pitched a gem for his first victory of the year. He went six solid innings allowing just three hits and no runs.
Meanwhile, Waldrip kept swinging the hot bat as he drilled his third homer in two days over the right field wall for the 3-0 Rockies lead in the third inning.
Overall, Waldrip was 2-for-4 with three runs batted-in. David Dahl was 3-for-4 with two RBI.
