Montrose softball making 2nd straight trip to state

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- For the second year in a row, the Indians are vying for a state title in Class 4A.

Montrose's softball team qualified for the 16-team state tournament by winning two of their three games in the Region 1 tournament last weekend.

The Indians enter the state tournament as the 14th seed. Montrose will play third-seeded Pueblo South in their first game of the single-elimination tournament.

The State tournament begins on Friday in Pueblo, Colo.
