Monument LL's Major boys eliminated from SW Regional

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Monument Little League's dominance in the state of Colorado didn't carry over to Texas.

In the Southwestern Regional Tournament, Monument lost two of three games in pool-play.

The 6-1 loss on Monday to Lufkin LL of Texas East by Monument marked the end of an incredibly successful season.

With a 1-2 record in pool play, Monument did not finish in the top-two of Pool B, which eliminates the Colorado boys from the tournament.

I am disappointed in the folks that are complaining that a competitive team from the area also comprised the MLL all star team. There are no rules that say a competitive team member can not play little league. It just so happens that the All star team is the best players in that league, and these boys must have been the best in the league. I am sorry if your child did not make it. My kids used to play at MLL and we left to play competive baseball because it truly made them better players and people. No more having to deal with kids who were out there just because their parents made them. No more having to play with modified rules. WE cannot continue to baby our kids. Yours didn't make it? maybe he will work harder, maybe he will want to learn from real coaches in the competitive programs. Just make sure it is the kids dream, not yours. I am not a fan of MLL, in fact I think it is a dirty league as far as the administration, nor do my kids play for the Mavs, but I love what that program teaches. But dont take it out on the kids. They are kids and need everyones support regardless of the adults

its too bad that you dont have a chance to play major all-stars at Monument unless you play for the Mavs. You should be ashamed of yourself Toby. Tell me I'm lying. I thought so.
