I coach in the majors in Little league and agree with Daniel its not right to have kids that play between 17 n 20 games competing against kids that play 70 to 100 games a yr. The playing field is not even. Competitive kids play lots of tournaments why do they need to take that away from the kids that only play Little League. 39 home runs says it all. Its like putting a Indy car in a nascar race.

I think it takes away from the kids that cant afford to play competitive baseball ! It is little league not a national tournament in las vages ! play one or the other, don't take little league from my and other kids !!!!!

Obviously, you haven't been to a little league game recently. You take the All-Stars playing competitive away and you wouldnt have a league. I think it is great that some of the competitive kids still commit to Little League. A great number are not playing Little League. The competive kids make little league what it is. Funny how kids trying to play more, against better competition are taking something away from the game. They're not, they are adding so much. Crazy how people can be so ignorant.

You can't argue with results. Monument 12U All Stars score 138 runs and hit 39 Home Runs to run through District 1 undefeated, win the title and qualify for State. 10 of their 12 kids have been playing at Monument since coach pitch and tee ball. Yes they play for the Mavs and that is because they are the best 12 year olds in Monument boundaries. They started Mavs with the hope to play more games to give themselves a chance in Waco. Last year you didn't hear any complaining when Palisade was the Crush competitive team, Orchard Mesa was the Mavs, and the Heat were Monument. Couldn't think of any other 12 year olds who could make this team more complete. Stats don't lie, they are the best our city has ever seen. Good luck boys.
