GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- According to Nolan Snell, the Mavs should expect the 2013 RMAC Preseason Pitcher of the Year to be back to his old form in a couple weeks.

Snell already looks to be molding into his former self. He pitched 7.0 innings against Grand Canyon last weekend. He surrendered five hits and one earned run while fanning seven batters.

Given that performance, Snell will get the nod as the starter for the conference opener on Friday versus Colorado Christian.

"It feels good to be back in the starting rotation no matter what," Snell said during practice on Thursday.

CMU and CCU will play doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday at Suplizio Field.

Game one on Friday is scheduled for a 1:30 pm start.
