GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Another exciting night of MMA action is coming your way. Cage Wars XVI will be setting up shop at CMU's Brownson Arena for another round of top-notch fighting right here in the Grand Valley.

They've put together one of the best cards yet, including great pros and upcoming amateurs. The event will feature CMU's very own assistant track coach Jason Brenton.

Brenton has been fighting for over 10 years. This Saturday marks his 17th pro fight. He's coming off a huge knockout win over Daniel Salas - the number one Mexican contender out of Mexico City - and once again he's ready to put his best foot forward and give Grand Junction some Saturday night entertainment.

"It's just exciting," said Brenton. "It's entertaining. It's definitely something you could get addicted to watching if you like any kind of sports really, that's all it is, especially an aggressive sport like football or wrestling, it's right up your alley.

The event takes place Saturday, September 21st. Doors open at 5:30 PM with the first fight of the 11-fight card starting at 7:00 PM.

Tickets can be purchased at 8th Street Gym, Harley Davidson, or at the door. General admission is $30. Reserved is $40. Proceeds from the event are donated back to CMU to help with scholarships and the wrestling program. For VIP tickets or further questions contact Alex Trottier at(970) 640-8751.
